Fairy Collage, made in 2006
1. What was the first thing you remember crafting as a child?
I always loved to color as a really small child. I have particular memories of lining my crayons up in rainbow color order. My favorite part of school was drawing pictures for different assignments.
2. Did you go on to learn more about that particular craft and carry it into adulthood?
Yes, majored in Art Education in college and my art education still continues...:)
3. What crafts are you good at?
Well, since I make my living at mosaic art, I think I'm pretty good. I think a lot of my strengths lie in painting and collage as well.
4. What crafts haven't you tried but want to?
My grandmother's crocheted, and I've always wanted to knit. I also would love to learn how to sew from a pattern. I do great with quilts, but when it comes to reading a pattern for clothes, it's like reading japanese to me. I REALLY want to learn rug-hooking, but haven't found any classes in our local area.
5. If you could only take one type of craft onto a desert island what would it be?
Probably mixed-media painting and collage. I would need a large stack of magazines, some canvases, a bunch of acrylic paint and brushes, and some matte mod-podge.
I got this meme from smallfox.typepad.com. She's a librarian and makes some super cute octupuses.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
